The State Museum of Arts and Culture of Novgorod Land was founded in 2002 and is located at the ancient Monastery of the Tithes.
The Museum’s mission is to preserve, research and promote the cultural heritage of the Novgorod land, as well as to shape the region’s creative space, helping to build its image as an attractive destination for tourism and investment.
The Museum collects, holds, studies, and promotes Novgorod’s arts. It displays works by Novgorod artists and artisans of the late 19th – early 21st centuries.
The Museum of Arts and Culture of Novgorod Land is a modern cultural and educational centre equipped with advanced museum and multimedia technologies and offering a wide range of educational, cultural, and recreational programmes. The Museum engages in active project activities and enjoys strong support from partners in realising various events and initiatives. Its collections are open to the public.

Monday is a day off.
The Museum is closed for cleaning every third Wednesday of the month.

We want you to be able to touch some of the exhibits. While all of them are regularly disinfected, we kindly ask you to wear gloves that will be provided to you FOR FREE.
Please expect the Museum staff to measure your temperature at the entrance. It will not cause any inconvenience, taking only five seconds of your time and providing additional reassurance that you are not ill.
